Description
The section of the A 94 highway between Pastetten and Heldenstein was built between 2016 and 2019. In this section, the route near Dorfen runs in an incision with slopes up to 18.0 m high in some areas.
In the area of the incision, there are tertiary soils of the upper fresh water molasse, which are very heterogeneously composed and consist of sands, clays and silts. The tertiary soil layers are covered by loess loams or moraine soils.
During the execution of an advance measure in 2015, a large-scale slope slide occurred on a completed slope in the course of an incision near Dorfen. The existing slope slid over a length of approx. 210.0 m. The toe of the slope shifted horizontally by approx. 6.0 m over the planum of the incision. Free-standing, vertical fracture surfaces with heights of up to 5.0 m were formed at the upper breaking edge.
Büchting + Streit AG was consulted for the planning of the slope remediation. In the course of the planning, various remediation options were first investigated. Taking into account the local conditions and boundary conditions, the preferred option consisted of anchoring the slope with soil nails. The execution planning for this was also prepared by Büchting + Streit AG.
