60 Years of Experience
We have been successfully active in structural design for more than five decades. In addition, our review engineers have been continuously providing inspection services in reinforced concrete construction and tunneling for over 30 years. With our support, well over 1,000 bridge structures of all types have been successfully realized to date. In mining tunneling, we have many years of planning experience and competence in both conventional and mechanical excavation.

Our Business Segments
We have been active in the field of structural design of bridges for more than five decades. During this time, well over 1000 bridge structures have been successfully realized with our services. The experience gained and the competence of the office owners and employees of Büchting + Streit AG enables us to provide comprehensive advice to our customers - public and private infrastructure operators and construction companies - beyond pure planning and testing services.
This is because there are direct interactions and dependencies between the actual tunnel structure, the excavation of the required cavity and the mountains to be crossed. In this way, the surrounding mountains are used for the load-bearing effect and, in a sense, become a building material themselves.
Mining and mechanical tunneling and tunneling with open construction methods together form a key business area of our company. Thanks to our extensive experience and expertise in tunnel construction, we are able to cover all areas, from consulting and planning to the assessment and structural testing of new and existing tunnels.
In inner-city construction, the greatest challenges often lie in building in existing structures. This is because, for example, existing buildings have to be fully or partially integrated into new buildings, or special civil engineering measures such as excavations, underpinning or deep foundations are required in the immediate vicinity. We are successfully active both in the structural testing and in the planning of engineering structures in building construction.
For us, civil engineering includes foundations, excavation shoring and other special civil engineering measures that are planned from an engineering perspective. We also include engineering structures that are integrated into the subsoil, such as groundwater troughs, manholes and tanks.
Of particular note here is our specialization in the comprehensive and interdisciplinary consideration of soil-structure interactions.
