Recalculation

The structural analysis of existing structures is of decisive importance with regard to the economic and sustainable management of the building stock. The age of the building stock, new findings on the building materials used, modified design concepts and, in the case of bridges in particular, the continuous increase in heavy traffic can make a new assessment of existing structures necessary. In addition to static aspects, aspects of traffic development and route-related planning must often also be taken into account.

We consistently regard the assessment and structural analysis of existing bridges and tunnels as a planning task and therefore also benefit here from over 60 years of experience in the planning of new buildings. We have a wide range of specialist knowledge from research and structural maintenance as well as extensive knowledge of standards and guideline backgrounds. As part of various research projects, we were actively involved in updating the structural analysis guideline and creating BEM-ING Part 2 and the Dismantling Guideline (BEM-ING Part 4).

In addition, we benefit from our extensive experience in the implementation of sophisticated solutions as structural engineers or certified structural engineers. As a result, we can also provide you with optimal support for building in existing structures with well-founded assessments, the planning of temporary solutions, the identification of load-bearing reserves and much more.
