Description
As part of the new construction of the A143 West Bypass Halle, the construction of a new Saale River crossing near Salzmünde is required. The Saale River Crossing Salzmünde is essentially formed by 4 successive different structures.
Starting from the south, the route is routed in a terrain cut, which is secured on the western flank over 125 m and the eastern flank over 275 m by a retaining wall with permanent slope nailing.
The sub-structures noise protection tunnel, power bridge and foreland bridge are monolithically connected to each other at the respective interfaces, so that they form a structural unit in the final state. For noise protection reasons, the noise protection tunnel on the power bridge is continued with a closed glass enclosure. Subsequently, the closed enclosure merges into a 4.0 m high noise barrier arranged on both sides. After approx. 200 m, the noise barriers end with a lowering over a length of approx. 8.0 m.The following noise protection tunnel Salzmünde is manufactured in open construction and connects with its south portal (station km 14+275.00) directly to the cut area. The noise protection tunnel ends after approx. 207 m with the northern tunnel portal (station km 14+482), which represents the transition to the subsequent bridge structure with the integrated abutment of axis 1 including the associated pile foundation.
The bridge is divided into a one-piece composite steel bridge over the Saale and a prestressed concrete foreland bridge with two separate superstructures. The cross-section of the power bridge consists of a box-shaped central beam with a trapezoidal upper chord and laterally arranged box cross-sections withan orthotropic composite roadway slab. The superstructures of the foreland bridge each have two-webbed plate girder cross-sections.
Special features
The structure consists of four complex structures: foreland bridge, power bridge, noise protection tunnel, cut with retaining walls.
The connection of the sub-structures noise protection tunnel, power bridge and foreland bridge is monolithic.
In order to ensure optimum noise protection, the noise protection tunnel on the power bridge is constructed with a closed glass enclosure.
While the foreland bridge is manufactured on a falsework, the power bridge is pushed in with auxiliary support on a pontoon.
Subsequently, the closed enclosure merges into a 4.0 m high noise barrier arranged on both sides.
