Description

The construction project is part of the overall Albvorland Tunnel project of the Wendlingen – Ulm railway line and includes the construction of the single-track branch line “Small Wendlingen Curve”. The Small Wendlingen Curve serves to connect the NBS to the existing Neckartalbahn (Stuttgart-Tübingen).
The Small Wendlingen Curve is a total of 818.0 m long and consists of a 494.0 m long tunnel structure, which is partly built using mining methods and partly using open construction methods. To the north, a 145.0 m long trough structure adjoins.
In addition to the execution planning of the tunnel and engineering structures, the earthworks for the open route were also planned.
